Just building right now so no reason to push too hard. Keep the runs easy. 95pts is still a decent total. It’s going to get a lot tougher so enjoy these easier weeks.

Another good week. Slight discomfort on Tuesday but definitely think that was cold legs & a steep uphill start. Sounds silly but the weather change has made it really hard getting out the door this week. I’ve enjoyed the training & being back on plan. Although I have seen your comment about the dreaded efforts coming back, this means a return of my moaning 🤣🤣

A really strong week Stacey. We could potentially delay the efforts by a few weeks if you wanted. I don’t want you to “hate it”. I think with the weather the key is how we dress. I did parkrun Saturday and was pretty much covered head to toe, even pulled my buff right up to my glasses, so was actually quite warm and amazed there were people there is shorts and vest tops (idiots). I like wrapping up warm and going out for a run, it’s fun.

I found that a real slog tonight. Could have quite easily stayed in front of the fire with my hot water bottle. Started off going up Filsham which is the first time in a couple of weeks I’ve felt my poor foot, I think it was cold & I hadn’t warmed up so paid the price for that. Once I’d got going & warmed up it was ok. Just one of them days today but got it done with some extra minutes added
Great work Stace. It’s tough when the weather turns for the first time. I would always recommend doing 30 seconds of walking on your toes and then heels. That just stretches the foot out a little and might help. Good to bank some extra mins as well. Bonus pts for that.

I did get the giggles tonight. Pitch black off road over to the country park. I did forget this is also a well known site for having a rude car park. We appear in full hi-vis with head torches that light the night to a car park of steamy parked cars 🤣🤣 Cass & Sally were oblivious & ran ahead where I was rolling around laughing, hilarious. On the running side of things I had a good one tonight. It was super icy out so had to be really careful but I actually ran a lot of hills. More picked my way through slightly faster than a walk so I didn’t end up flat on face but felt good! Slightly over on time but nothing significant to get myself extra brownie points 🤣
Always love a few extra mins. I do remember someone mentioning that there was a popular spot up there for those sort of shenanigans but have not see it myself. Very amusing that you lit them up though, they must have wondered what was going on, although probably quite enjoyed it to be fair. Well done on the run, sounds like it was good progress and I’ll chuck in an extra point for the additional few mins. Sounds trivial but I do get annoyed when I set a 60 min run only for them team member to do 54 or 55 🤔 Great work Stacey.

Went with Mr Uzzell & co this morning. Nice relaxed pace. Didn’t want to go mad as I haven’t done this distance for a while. Very social, chatty easy run in the rain
Perfect. Very sensible to keep it easier given it was a big step up from recent runs. But loads of positives to take. Well done Stacey.
