So it went OK, tho think a bit conservative, maybe walked one too many hills where maybe didnt need to, and bit too much of a linger at checkpoints. Ok tho, think fitness seems to be fine but legs seem to run out of steam, really sore ham/glute for last 7/8 k.
Would have been nice to do better after faster training runs but pleased overall.
A trail marathon is so different from a road marathon. At least 30-45 mins difference I would say. So really impressed with your time here and I think it further emphasises just what a strong runner you are. Perhaps we could have done a bit more mileage in preparation and if longer distances are you goal going forward, that would probably be the route we go down, but for now, definitely a big success and a time to celebrate.
