Wow. This is a big plan. But then the conclusion is a big race. So it feels achievable and there is scope to take a week off somewhere in the summer to recharge the batteries if need be.
In terms of training points this is your biggest plan yet. 136 points average. Over the past few months you’ve been averaging 123 per week but have regularly surpassed this number so I don’t feel like it’s going to be too much.
The routine is a familiar one with your two gym sessions, fitball and yoga. Tuesday efforts, Wednesday Horntye and the Sunday long run. I’ve sneaked some parkruns in there, but keeping it easy, just to boost the mileage a little. But you will only average 3.36 runs per week across the plan.
I’ve got plenty of races in there so you quickly get to your 8. Two extra I added where Rye Ancient Trails 30k and the Bates Green Gallop. They are on consecutive weeks so it might be that you only want to do one of them. I am a big fan of the Bates Green Gallop and a perfect opportunity to spend lots of time on feet.
The other run which would be really useful is the Amble. Obviously we don’t know the date of that yet, but perfect preparation for Beachy Head and I would highly recommend getting a seat on the minibus once Davinia lets us know when it’s going to happen. I’m already excited as love that day out.
I’m really happy with this plan. The consistency, the solid routine but also the increase in training points which should ensure you are fitter than ever before. Keep up the great work and thank you for your continued support.
