I want to try and be modest here but it’s going to be difficult as I love my training plans now. I think how they’ve evolved from what I used to create when I first started, they are so much better. The pts system is so clever. So over the past few months you’ve been averaging 87 pts per week. The target for the last plan was 91pts.
So all we need to do, to get a little fitter, is earn a few more pts. So this plan has a target of 93, and even if you miss a few sessions you will hopefully average 90 and that will see you make gains (sorry so many numbers, but numbers just don’t lie).
I have included the Pier to Pier but no worries if you prefer not to do it. One other option could be the Weald Challenge, a lovely trail half marathon on the 7th June, running and walking the hills, I loved it last year.
I’ve tried to mix up the weekend so there isn’t always the grind of a Sunday long run and included quite a few parkruns where possible. S&C is now down as Mondays at Trojan which I think is a really good idea for you.
Pretty much every week, bar one I believe, you have the 3 rest days as well. So a nice balance to the routine, and hopefully one which you can enjoy but still make some improvements. You’re running well which that recent parkrun highlighted, so we just need to keep doing more of the same really.
Always a pleasure to have you as part of the team and really looking forward to this training plan.
