Week Commencing: 25 May 26

Choose Day๐Ÿ‘‡

I’ve tweaked the scheduled based on the parade Sunday. Hopefully it’s ok now. For the 3-2-1 try and keep the early pace at 10k target otherwise you will be working too hard. Any problems let me know. Roll on Sunday.

A really good home workout for the core and legs. If new to this, don’t worry about hitting the seconds or reps. Do what you can and slowly build up to the targets.

For example you might find you can only hold a plank for 20 seconds at first, which is fine. Don’t push too hard that you get injured. You’ll soon get strong and be able to add more seconds.

Fantastic work Maria and glad this went ok with the knee. That’s a really positive sign.

Really like this session. A chance to practice your 10k pace, but break it down into chunks to make it manageable. Enjoy. You got this.

Sorry been out all day due to school holls so did the strength training that was for tomorrow today
No worries! Hope you had a nice day.

Started the run from yesterday warm up was fine but main run started to feel leg and became quite painful so I stopped.Going to try and get an appointment to get it checked
Not a bad idea, I think also we can just go back to the easy running for now and build up a bit slower. But I would take the week off now, especially as you are heading out for the weekend, then we can try again with an easy run early next week and build from there.

The biggest mistake we can make with these recovery runs is running too fast. This will mean when our harder sessions come round we are still fatigued and not able to put enough effort in to make the necessary gains.

Sensible, let’s rest up and see how it feels next week where I’ve put easy runs in to hopefully help with recovery.

60 Mins Run

Zone 2: Easy

8 x 100 Meter Strides

Zone 7: 3K

If you have an accurate heart rate, then use that as your main data to determine pace, if not RPE is the best option. Hills are always going to cause them to go too high, unless you are super fit. Finish off with some strides.

You’ll get it back soon I’m sure, stay positive. Plus Arsenal won the league, so life is great right now.

Running with others can reduce perceived effort so parkrun is a good option as an alternative speed session. 10 mins easy WU & CD please.

I feel bad everytime I se the cross. Hope the knee is getting better?
