I’ve left the plan blank this week in terms of running as you are away and gives you freedom to run when you feel like it, rather than feel pressured from me to “have to” run. Then when you do head out I can tweak the schedule and add the pts. Hopefully where you are stating allows for some strength work and if missing weights look to increase the reps and use bodyweight. If you would like me to put some runs in there, just let me know as happy to do that too. Enjoy your time away Sarah

All possible exs done with extra reps if I usually do them with weights. I did a sort of bent over row using resistance band as well so RDL was the only exs I cdnt attempt at all. All ok!
Fantastic work Sarah for finding a way. Normally we can do something, wherever we are, the beauty of exercise I guess.

Very limited time as weโ€™re off to see family (my Italian fam) all day but we headed out for half an hour jog. I launched straight in as no time for warm up and it was painful but will hopefully set me up for the day and Iโ€™ll be able to walk w less pain. We ran in a surreal cityscape, a business district with very tall modern buildings, interspersed with wild planted areas full of stray cats. I only managed 25 mins but will have more opportunity to run after we arrive at our next destination tomorrow – the island of Ischia! :)
The island of Ischia sounds very exciting. Drop me some pics if you get the chance please. 25 mins is good. Every minute this week is a bonus. So well done Sarah.

Ah yes – Ischia! A beautiful place – Iโ€™ll send a few pics. Got mixed up today though – I thought Thursday was gym day and as I could not sleep after the excitement of spending the day with family, I have just completed a full set, same as Tuesday. Signing off, 1:53 local time, Thursday
Iโ€™m amazed how many of the team have completed Thursday workouts or runs before I have got out of bed. Inspiring stuff. Although itโ€™s my day off so still being in bed is allowed although not sure I should be working. Well done on your workout today and look forward to some pics.

Managed another little run today – very slow with a lot of uphill, cobblestones and trippy paths. Iโ€™ll not dwell on the fact it was somewhat painful, as we were running along by the sparkling Med, with oleanders lining the streets, the smell of lime blossom and jasmine in the air, then in a shady park with birds and butterflies much in evidence. All followed by a fabulous early morning swim in that sparkling Med! Maybe even before coach Simon was up and about again!
More than likely I was still asleep. I should really change my sleep routine. We eat so late in the evenings because out often til 8pm coaching, that’s my issue. Anyhow, thank you for the lovely feedback. Could almost imagine myself there, especially having seen the pictures too. Glad you are having such a nice time.

Yep – no running today. I think launching straight into running rather than starting with a walking warm up affects my legs badly for the rest of the day. So, a restful day, with delicious early morning swim. Then we hiked up the local mountain! ๐Ÿ˜‚ But my legs were FINE all day.
Glad to hear the legs were ok and good to keep learning about what works best in terms of warm ups etc. Sounds like you had a lovely time. The weather here has been atrocious. Luckily a rest day for me ๐Ÿ˜‚

Another hiking day – it was The Festival of the Broom Flowers so we joined 200 people trekking up on little paths with fabulous views over Ischia, Capri and the Italian mainland from 1250 feet above sea level until we reached a woodland clearing where it was set up for a picnic with bruschetta, bean soup, bread and wine. (And meat for the carnivores..) There was music and dancing – all very entertaining. Iโ€™ll send you just a couple of pics, Simon – you and Jax might fancy coming here one day. Iโ€™ll be your guide!
Looks and sounds amazing. I always wonder if a simple life would be more relaxing. We are all so over stimulated these days with our phones and the internet. I must learn to switch off more. Thank you for sharing the pictures.
