Zone: 2 Easy

It all depends on the nature of the session as to how hard you want to work. The longer the reps, the slightly slower the pace will be. Or if doing hills, focus on RPE rather than pace. But you always want to be working hard to ensure you make the necessary gains.

Well I run 24 minutes didn’t start my watch for the last 4min ,all good no niggles
Did you do the first 16 mins easy? Strava suggests that was the case. No worries if that is the case.

Zone 2: Easy

If you have accurate heart rate data that is far and away the best guide for this run. Stay in Zone 2 if you can.

Every thing was good my easy running heart rate my , my low cadence, my short average stride length, my average time per k increase given a good easy overall pace , there is some inclines and remember rhere aways some wind . , all goes well for Sunday
😂 I thought your cadence was high!!! But well done Allan. Solid run ahead of Sunday.

Stick to your goal pace early on and it should feel easy. Dig deep in those final 5km to achieve your goal. The biggest mistake you can make is getting swept along in the early stages and going off too fast.

Well too hot to do myself justice . Just to let you as I fell off the pace , i wntI treated as a training run . Instead of plodding round . In fact I walked say 150 metres then quickened up I walked for about 11 minutes, expected the time , but pleased with the overall result. The good news it’s nearly 24.00 now no niggles, my left leg (the one which was broken ) is fine after a long run like that it normally gives me a bit of grief for a few days.
Yeah definitely tough in those conditions, but still a decent time given you walked. And as you said, to finish a half marathon without any pain is great news. A sign that you are in good shape and strong right now.
