Definitely need to change what you are doing based on my research. Often and little is the key to help you. The more you do this at home, the better.
I still think you are running well at the moment, so no reason to go into Sundays race without some decent aspirations. Granted it might not be your quickest, but that’s ok. Try and enjoy it. Run Tall. Run Proud. You’ve worked hard to be in the position to run these events and still run well. Of course if you are planning on running it a bit easier with the gang ๐ that is fine also. Enjoyment should be the priority. Any other issues across the week, let me know.

A good way to boost cardio whilst reducing the risk of injury. The elliptical can tone muscles and improve endurance whilst being gentle on your joints. You might find you have to work quite hard to get your heart rate in Zone 2.
A great form of cross trainer for us runners. Keep that heart rate in Zone 2. You might feel like RPE is higher, as it’s a tough exercise, but a good opportunity to really improve your aerobic engine without the heavy impact of running.
Zone 1 or below for this swim, so ideal for anyone who likes their breaststroke.

I had to create a new session for you guys. Have fun. 60 mins easy is perfect in terms of training load.
Not essential as runners but it’s good to feel strong and can help maintain good form deep into races.
A great way to get the heart pumping to some banging tunes. Have fun ๐
