A timely recovery week so we only need to run twice and gives you extra rest after Romney. Keep up the great work with the strength work, you’re laying down foundations for your long term health, it’s so important, not just for the running. You should be proud of the person you are right now. Keep it up Chrissie. Any problems, shout, quietly.

Didn’t feel to bad all things considered
I’ve just woken up from a dream where I was coaching a 20 x 1 min effort sessions in an underground road tunnel. There were loads of us. Then all of a sudden in between reps you and Simon Weatherly had a violent encounter which led to a fire and you had to grab the extinguisher to try and put it out, while everyone else made a run for it. πŸ˜‚πŸ€·β€β™‚οΈ So random. PS. Glad the legs felt ok.

Glute Bridge

3 x 10

Wall Sits

3 x 60s

Hopefully you can smash this out in 20 mins. If you pair some of the exercises together. So for example do the seated calf raises and then rather than sit around for 60s waited for the next set, do a plank and then switch back to the Bent Knee Calf Raises. This is referred to as supersets in the gym world.

Bosh!! Let’s av it!! My normal dreams are generally golf related (I used to play golf, a lot). So last night I was captain of the team and we had an important match at Beauport, but just before we were due to start I realised I was wearing my turquoise tracksuit bottoms rather than golf trousers, so had to go in the shop and by a brand new pair of pin stripped golf slacks for Β£300. That’s the last of the dream feedback for now. Just didn’t want you to think they were all running related.

60 Mins & Strides

60 Mins Run

Zone 2: Easy

8 x 100 Meter Strides

Zone 7: 3K

If you have an accurate heart rate, then use that as your main data to determine pace, if not RPE is the best option. Hills are always going to cause them to go too high, unless you are super fit. Finish off with some strides.

Super tired today Managed 30 mins plus strides this morning and then just about got the energy to complete the other 30 mins.
Sorry to hear you had a tough day, but you’ve proven to yourself, even when it’s hard you can get it done. Great work Chrissue.

A good way to boost cardio whilst reducing the risk of injury. The elliptical can tone muscles and improve endurance whilst being gentle on your joints.

A great form of cross trainer for us runners. Find the level which means your heart rate is in zone 2. If you go other that, reduce the level. It’s that simple.

Give yourself kudos for that right. What an attitude to have. Extra time, let’s make the most of it. Love that. 35 mins on the stairs as well? Absolutely bossing it. Great work Chrissie. Now, let’s see if my abacus is working properly.

Long runs are key. Fuel and hydrate well & join a group if you can.

Lovely little group. I thought you didn’t do off road anymore though? πŸ˜‰ Glad you had a good run though. Another week of training in the bank. London here we come.

lol πŸ˜‚ no don’t do off road but not racing so was ok Erm points not adding up right πŸ₯΄πŸ€£πŸ€£ I believe 92 this week as had bonus…. Do I not get bonus for extra 20 mins LR yesterday? lol πŸ˜‚ Off to London today πŸ₯³
Sorry, double checked and 92pts is right. The long run is a tricky one, because obviously a route like that does involve a lot of interruptions which isn’t ideal. Plus you’ve hit your target, so you don’t need those extra pts right πŸ˜‰ Have a fab day in London
