Week Commencing: 20 July 2026

So the main focus this week is pushing the boundaries of that long run. And going up to 100 mins. We’ve done 90, the main difference with the extra 10 mins is just getting used to running on tired legs. Let me know if we need to move anything around, but I really like the progress you are making, especially with that long run. Keep it up Heidi.

A great 5k session to improve speed. Don’t got off too quick, so focus on your pace in those first few reps, then you’ll get an idea of how far you can run each rep. We want to be ahead of our current 5k pace though. From there you can then pick up the pace and cadence for the 1 minute reps.

Efforts session instead Donโ€™t manage yoga today.
Brilliant, great to have you along, such a good group of people, working hard and improving their fitness, so happy just to be part of it. Excellent work Heidi.

Slowly adding time to your longer runs is the way forward. Keep the effort level down and continue to check in with your form.

I did a 90 min yoga class instead today and will do the 100 min run tomorrow but not the strength.
90 mins of yoga. Wow. That’s impressive. Enjoy the run tomorrow and hopefully see you en route.

A really good home workout for the core and legs. If new to this, don’t worry about hitting the seconds or reps. Do what you can and slowly build up to the targets.

For example you might find you can only hold a plank for 20 seconds at first, which is fine. Don’t push too hard that you get injured. You’ll soon get strong and be able to add more seconds.

100 mins run. 9.54 miles. 10.29 pace.
