Over 15 years ago I gave up a well paid job to create my own website based around my hobby at the time, sports betting. I was fortunate enough to do that as a living and pay my bills each month.
But more recently my passion has changed. I now love running. It’s had a huge impact on my life in the past 3 years. I’ve battled mental health issues and low self esteem but running has been there to make me realise what I can achieve.
I now want to build a website that will inspire other runners to go a similar journey of self improvement that I’ve been on. I’ll warn you, it won’t happen over night, but equally it’s all about small steps, the first one being that willingness to commit to being better.
The aim of the website is to inspire beginners to take up running and those that do lace up, to improve their own performances and well being. I’ll be featuring runners that have been on their own journeys, have written their own stories and hopefully inspire you to do likewise.
I hope to build a comprehensive guide to the best races, allowing you to wisely pick events that suit your ability and goals. I want to create a large database of running tips to help provide the best advice for those seeking improvement.
I want to compare the best running shoes, watches and products so you can make informed purchases when it comes to buying accessories that will help you along your path and bring you more enjoyment from this amazing hobby.
I’ll be producing a guide to the best running coaches for those that want to take their running a little bit more seriously and focus on training plans and achieving new PB’s.
This site isn’t just about performance or race times. It’s about making that commitment to being a better all round individual and using running as a tool to improve your mental health, physical conditioning and happiness in life. It’s worked wonders for me.
