COACH SUMMARY

Welcome to the Team Victoria. Very excited to have you on board. Looking at your recent training and the times you are running I think your potential for improvement is huge.

I notice from your Strava you favour the trails and there is a whole new World out there of Ultra running these days if that was ever something you wanted to explore.

I’ve worked with a number of ultra runners right up to 100km. In fact two of my runners, Anna & Stacey are both doing the Race to the Stones 100km next week. Both have already done Ultras this year running 80km and 62km respectively.

I’m perhaps getting a bit ahead of myself, but just wanted to mention them, as I think you’d find them both inspiring.

What of this plan? Well I’ve done a 12 week plan to start. The main goal being the Bewl Half, albeit that is 10 weeks in. There’s a nice blend of speed work, long runs and easy runs. I’ve also included 1 strength & conditioning session per week.

The best results always come to those who are consistent, week in week out. Often it’s not a case of working the hardest, more training the smartest, that delivers the best outcome. And that is very much my philosphy.

So I would suggest let’s see how these 12 weeks go. Hopefully you really enjoy the feedback and having me supporting you. And then it could be a case of resetting your goals and finding a new challenge. But we’ll cross that bridge when we come to it.

The days I’ve scheduled in runs on the current plan are completely flexible. Given your availability you can do them anytime you want. The key being to try and avoid doing two tough runs on consecutive days.

I’ll always check in on a Monday morning and the dashboard allows you to reschedule the runs yourself.

I’m exciting to get started. Any questions just ask.
