So I think it’s smart to have a 4 week block where we keep things light. You’ve got 3 half marathons in 4 weeks, off the back of a marathon. Which any coach would tell you is bonkers. But the fact you are only going fast in one those (PW) is ok, just. But it means we want to approach the training during this window which extra care, especially as your body is still going to be a little tired from Seville.
Then once we get HHM out of the way, and one more light week we can back into that consistent routine of Tuesday evening efforts, Wednesday Horntye, Saturday parkrun and Sunday long run.
The Saturday session will vary and I’ve put a few different sessions on the Sunday too to keep it interesting. But the pts total has increased slightly and I’ll look to tweak the S&C to make maximum gains from that. So in theory we should end this plan fitter and stronger than previously, which in term will set you up nicely for a 16 week block for Valencia in December.
There’s loads of scope to put in additional races there, so we can always tweak it as and when need be. And to be honest if you want a few weeks off, that’s fine. This is really a building block for another marathon plan in the Autumn, so there’s plenty of room for flexibility.
Keep being an absolute legend. Love working with you and I appreciate the continued support.
