Ever so slightly disappointed with my time but I am glad I survived. That was a hot one and my heart rate just kept going up and up and up! Hope you had a good run! 🍊
We can choose which data metric we focus on the most. And I think this is why it’s important to consider all 3 as they will take into account the challenge that conditions provide. Are you better than the pace and time show? Hell yeah. Did you work hard when it got tough? You did. HR and RPE are actually probably too high for a 10k. So this means something else was a reason for the slower pace. And I think we can combine both conditions and preparation to explain the pace. So whilst you might be disappointed in the time I really pleased with how hard you worked here and I know that will have had a positive effect on your fitness going forward. So really well done, and better 10k times will follow.
