I will be running this race for the first time in 2024 so will be able to provide more feedback once I’ve completed the course. It does look relatively challenging with two noticeable hills around the 3 mile and 7 mile mark, so achieving a PB here could be tough.
It takes in the quiet country lanes south of Canterbury but isn’t completely traffic free so just be aware of any cars along the route. It’s licensed by UK Athletics and the Invicta East Kent AC are the host organisers.
It would appear parking might be an issue so perhaps follow my approach and leave in plenty of time. The HQ are at Canterbury Christ Church Sports Centre, about a 15 minute walk from the city centre.
There are water stations located at 3.7 and 8 miles. The race starts at 9am and the route is slightly different from previous year due to some roadworks. The organisers kindly offer free photos for all runners, so look out for that link post race and try to smile for the cameras.
