Not a fan of the weather and wanted to cry for the first two miles 🙈 I had been nervous about the run for a few days and was doubting myself (all mental, physically I felt fine. I was having a Doris moment)
After two miles I found my comfort zone running and was quite happy putting one foot in front of the other. No struggle at all with the slight inclines. A push from Klare on the home stretch made me sprint my finish. Did not think 1:10 was possible especially with the weather today but I got 1:05! So much happier with my finish than my start.
Yes the weather was a tad grim for August. Nerves and self doubts are normal, especially as you are still new to the club and the team. That should settle down once you get to know more people and have more experience in that environment.
In terms of the time, fantastic, really impressed at this stage of the plan, so you have every reason to be pleased. That’s great running Jodie and hopefully gives that encouragement to want to kick on and get faster, to improve on the time going forward.
We’ll soon have you running under the hour mark I’m sure.
