It is. There comes a point where running slower becomes harder, because of the lower cadence and increased ground contact.
That’s why I always say when on an easy run, just ask the questions can I go quicker without working harder. That’s done by increasing the cadence a little and running taller.
Thanks for helping though. Always appreciate the support of the marshals for these races. And Ellie certainly benefitted from having your support. I’d probably go as far as saying it secured her the improvers award for this race.
