Post RACE

Completed
I started off too quick for sure and I was finding the whole race a struggle. There were a few times I slowed down too much and I’m annoyed at myself for that but I did keep up the cadence which at least was a positive. I’m disappointed I didn’t meet my target time but I beat last year by over 3 minutes and considering I’m a bit battered from yesterday I did ok. Not quite 42.55 but at 43.59 (chip time I’m going by!) not too shabby.
Kelly DeRosa
Really well done Kelly. In a race of that nature if you find yourself “struggling” it means you are running at the right intensity. It should be hard. Great work with the cadence though, that’s another step in the right direction. The target times are tricky and more of a guide. But to knock 3 mins off is a big improvement and highlights things are working, even with the setbacks you’ve had. I really feel like now though we are finding the solutions and the best methods to help keep you improving as a runner. See this as a stepping stone on that journey.
