That was one of the most un enjoyable outward legs of the Parkrun course I think Iāve done. Could of quite easily said āSod itā and gone home š However, I didnāt and stuck with it knowing the wind was going to be my friend on the way back. It was thankfully and I really enjoyed the run back. Bearing in mind Iād done 90 minutes yesterday I wasnāt expecting anything special but thanks to steadily closing on Lucie all the way back I was really pleased to come home in 23.31. I really am beginning to feel that that elusive Parkrun PB isnāt that far away nowš¤
Well done Andy. I think yesterday is a reminder of how we can go from feeling totally awful to great in a short space of time. So digging deep in those moments of adversity is key and will be similar when you land that parkrun PB. I think you should be really pleased with the weekend as a whole and I think with the slight tweak to your training, the improvement will come.
