COACH NOTES

Just be wary with this one as it’s sandwiched between efforts and long run, so it might be a case of switching it with one of the other two sessions.

RUNNER FEEDBACK

Didn’t drop the hammer on this one. Gym was full of people between the ages of 12 and 75, the worst group in society… Definitely erred on the side of caution. It turns out I can actually listen. Functioning pretty well considering I was out with Sam yesterday and shooting the long bow today.

COACH FEEDBACK

😂 That made me laugh. Planning is everything, knowing when to hold back and knowing when to push. I’m so grateful I’ve been able to run pretty much injury free now for 7 years and I put that down to good planning but also listening to the body. Just in the last week I ditched my S&C completely to give my sore glute a rest so I could keep up the running. The Sunday long run, big Monday gym session and Tuesday efforts will always be a big risk, hence why it was smart here to ease back. Always reminding ourselves that’s in when we rest and recovery our body gets fitter ensures we can be smart with our planning. I just hope next time you visit the gym it’s full of 80+ athletes (I’m guessing they don’t allow toddlers in there?).
