130 Min Long Run

LOAD: 390

130 Mins @ Easy Pace (RPE: 3-5)

Pushing beyond that 2 hour barrier is a good mental win. Important to be fuelling and staying hydrated on these runs.

The last long run before the Weald Challenge, so it might be an idea to do some trails 🤔 Not essential though if you want to keep it flat and include parkrun.

So I under estimated the route 🤣 and Strava was very kind as it took about 2hours 20. Route out was good and I thought how bad could the coastal route be 🫣. So in true trail running, you run what you can and you walk when you have to. Was pleased I still had enough in my legs to run from the radar station to home. Would do the Barley lane route to East hill again… maybe just come back the same way!!

I think it’s good to mix it up from time to time and add that little bit of variety. And we can only learn by trying these things. So time on feet is great and I appreciate there will be walking involved on those hills. Obviously doing these every week would see regression but from time to time I think it’s important to get out on the trails for our headspace as much as anything.
