A good session to practice goal pace. Likely to be one of the biggest sessions in your half marathon training plan.

PACE

This session went very well. Started off with a slight niggle in right glute, but luckily it didn’t seem to last! It was definitely starting to get tough towards the end of the third set, but kept pushing on – average pace across the three sets was 4:22, 4:26, 4:24

Love that pace. It’s one of my favourite sessions, as you really have to dig deep in that final 5km, like in a half. Excellent prep for an upcoming half and I think based on this somewhere around the 1:35 mark for Hastings (weather permitting) could be on the cards. Great work Jamie.
