60 Mins MP

LOAD: 36

10 Mins WU @ Easy Pace (RPE: 2-3)

60 Mins @ Marathon Pace (RPE: 5)

10 Mins CD @ Easy Pace (RPE: 3)

A chance to get some important marathon paced miles in. Should feel relatively comfortable, but also like you are running with good form.

FEEDBACK

ENJOYMENT

RPE

🙄 Just a fraction slow

PACE

I set out with intention of doing this run. Ended up doing 10 mins warm up, 40 mins or so marathon pace, 8 x strides and then easy home. Sorry, I know mish-mash of sessions, but felt the legs tired. I promise I run my heart out playing 5aside haha

No worries Ben, it’s good to listen to the body and not push too hard, especially a week out from the race. Because I’m a git (well more because of my methods) I’ve added 10 mins easy onto Sunday’s run to hit the weekly target. If we fall a touch short it’s not the end of the world, but I like to stick to my process, so hence the tweak. Well done for getting 40 mins in at goal pace.
