Maintaining your current 5k pace will get progressively more challenging as a session unfolds. So breaking it down in this nature should allow you to maintain that pace for the whole session.

This is what the team are doing, slightly different to what was originally in the plan, but with Worthing Sunday would be good to get some speed in the legs on the flat.
