🙄 Just a fraction slow

PACE

Slightly disappointed that I was 30 sec slower than last year.. I felt good and was doing a good pace for me. I had 2 x 30 sec walks just to slow my heart rate down and steady my breathing. It was less walking than last year. Was over taking going up Catfield road. Did feel unwell at the end but eating some sugar & drinking alot made me recover. I will carry my fuel with me on 10ks in future just incase I need it. I had taken hydration pre with electlytes as usual. Had the normal pre race breakfasts. Not sure what was different.

I was really impressed with your time. To be within 30 seconds of last year given the issues you’ve had to deal with lately is great in my book, especially on a tough hilly course like that. A couple of weeks back we might have been questioning whether you could even run these races, so to complete the course with only a couple of walk breaks is great. Really well done Sue. Hopefully now, with less disruptions in the training going forward you will continue to see more improvement again.
