Elaine Wiliams 5K

LOAD: 250

10 Mins WU @ Easy Pace (RPE: 2)

5K @ 5K Pace (RPE: 6-9)

10 Mins CD @ Easy Pace (RPE: 3)

A lovely event which takes place in Alexandra Park over 5k. A nice flat route and a wonderful atmosphere.

It doesn’t matter too much if you’re helping the Walk to Run or running your own race as it’s a replacement for the normal 60 minute easy run. If you can get in a good warm up jog before to account for those lost miles then that would be good. But I appreciate time might be limited with the main warm up starting at 6:20.

Enojyed this race. Sue Hull ran with me for the last half lap encouraging me to keep up the pace which was great and sprinted the last bit. It would have been a PB for 5k but when I looked at Strava and Garmin it wasn’t quite 5k! 32:08 for 3.03 miles ( Garmin ) Pace 10:36/mi 31:56 for 4.87 km ( Stava ) Pace 6.33/km 31:56 on official results
Ellie Miller
You looked so strong at the end, which is great. I was wondering if it would have been a 5k PB. But a good indication that you can achieve that in upcoming races. Excellent running Ellie.
