30 Min Tempo (HM)

LOAD: 24

10 Mins WU @ Easy Pace (RPE: 3)

30 Mins @ HM Pace (RPE: 6)

10 Mins CD @ Easy Pace (RPE: 3)

A good opportunity to practice your half marathon goal pace during a midweek tempo run. Factor in hills and weather, which may effect pace, in which case nail the right RPE.

FEEDBACK

ENJOYMENT

RPE

😁 Good pace given the conditions/route

PACE

Did 20 mins warm up as that was the time it took to get to start from Premier Inn we were staying at (I refused lift). Decided I wanted to do a quicker time, and attempted 25 mins. Wasn’t able to keep at that pace (I forget that the conditions underfoot are not ideal – most of route is compacted gravel type paths, and some muddy bits so wear my older trainers (excuses, excuses! 😉)) but was pleased that I got quicker each mile and finished with 25:15, so pretty happy with that. Then did 10 minute cool down.

Definitely would have been quicker with your new trainers on. Sounds like a good mornings work though with some bonus training points bank. Excellent work Ben and glad the desire to push that bit harder is there right now. Keep smashing it!
