Hastings Seafront 10K

LOAD: 400

10 Mins WU @ Easy Pace (RPE: 3)

10k @ 10k Pace (RPE: 6-9)

10 Mins CD @ Easy Pace (RPE: 3)

If the wind is kind, an excellent opportunity to run a 10K PB. Not much else to add. I think we all know this route fairly well, don’t we? 🙄

No pressure, you’ve already smashed your 10k lately and after the virus you’re probably still building up a bit more fitness.

So run tall, proud and with a smile on your face.

No targets here.

Enjoyable run along the seafront and back. Took it fairly easy. I kept Rachel company ( as she did last year for me although she is in fact faster than me normally but her foot has been painful since her injury earlier in the year). No walking and although not a PB was a lot easier than last year so I think that shows I have made progress since then! My achilles has been aching since so I will keep an eye on it, rest it for a day or so if needed.

Really well done Ellie and nice to appreciate that improvement even coming off the back of a few weeks of illness. I think it’s important to do some of these races at a lower effort level otherwise you’ll just burnout. Yes keep an eye on that achilles and take some extra rest if need be. Getting through this busy period of races injury free is the main goal and then things quieten down again in November/December when we can be more training focused.
