30 Min Tempo (HM)

LOAD: 24

10 Mins WU @ Easy Pace (RPE: 3)

30 Mins @ HM Pace (RPE: 6)

10 Mins CD @ Easy Pace (RPE: 3)

A good opportunity to practice your half marathon goal pace during a midweek tempo run. Factor in hills and weather, which may effect pace, in which case nail the right RPE.

😁 Good pace given the conditions/route

PACE

The wife’s gone to Romania for the weekend so I am lone parenting. Busy morning with sorting kid, dog and shopping delivery. Dropped the kid off at the in laws and headed to park run. 10 minute warm up. Park run I started at around HM pace and then progressed naturally to 10 mile pace. Felt okay, ish, legs felt a little heavy but was still talking most of the way round. 20 minute easy/steady cool down to finish.

Crikey that does sound hectic, but glad you were able to get the two runs in and tick this off at a nice pace. I’m always a big fan of using parkrun as part of a session as it’s so much easier to hit target paces with others around. Well done Dan!
