My target was 8:15 m/m or under 1:50. I went out a bit fast for first mile, but managed to settle in to 8:05 – 8:10 pace. Was regularly checking watch and if I dipped to 8:25 then would make an effort to speed up a bit. Managed to keep it going and although I wouldn’t say I felt strong at the end, I was able to up the pace a bit and the last mile was my fastest.
Overall it came in a little short, but would have been under 1:47 so very pleased with that. Fastest Half Marathon for 2 and a half years I think!
