Christmas Pudding Dash

LOAD: 150

10 Mins WU @ Easy Pace (RPE: 2)

4 Miles @ Easy Pace (RPE: 3)

10 Mins CD @ Easy Pace (RPE: 3)

A fun event but the course is very challenging with lots of elevation and can be very muddy. Be sure to have trail shoes on and take spare clothes for after the race. Definitely not a race to go chasing a time or worrying about your pace.

The hills and mud are likely to make this challenging. This is about having fun, but work hard in the tough hilly sections and you can still make good gains from a race like this.

So… I don’t think I will make it as a trail runner. I fell over, my calf muscles were burning and there wasn’t much good running. That being said we also laughed a lot 😂 and I will probably get suckered into next years.

Trail running when it’s muddy is the worst. It’s bad enough in the summer. The key is to ignore the watch completely and run to feel. Pace will always be way off and walking is to be expected. The most important thing for an event like this is you had fun. Well done Jodie.
