Rye 10

LOAD: 600

10 Mins WU @ Easy Pace (RPE: 2)

10 Miles @ HM Pace (RPE: 5-9)

10 Mins CD @ Easy Pace (RPE: 3)

With the hills, I’ve found half marathon pace is the best we can hope for here, but obviously that will fluctuate greatly depending on the section you are on. Dig deep up the hills and focus on good form.

I always think half marathon pace around here is impressive. In fact it’s likely you’ll probably end up with a slightly slower pace than Paddock Wood.

Maybe my target is conservative, but I can certainly trust you to work hard and run a good race here. So there’s not a great deal for me to add. If anything does go against plan, just keep going, as it’s all excellent training.

Target Pace: 6:25 Target Time: 1:04

Well that went well. Started steadily and just kept picking people off. When Graham passed me I upped my game a little and we swapped places on the uphills but I couldn’t match him downhill or on the flat. 200 points in the bag and a top ten finish. 10 miler PB by 37 seconds too! We are moving in the right direction Great to see you and Jax marshalling, thank you.

Love this! I was worried about the knee feedback a few weeks back so this makes me so happy! I think we’ve managed it well 🤞 and to see you come through so soon after the leaders was a proud coach moment. Awesome running Paul! Congrats on the PB.
