Two ways to make this as effective as a 7 miler. One, do a longer WU & CD to top up the miles, or Two, push the effort level a bit during the race, say half marathon pace. That will give you same training effect as if doing a 7 mile easy run.

Decided to push the effort level up a notch instead this morning wasn’t quite sure it would be there after yesterdays’ training run but came in around 9 min pace so a bit quicker than HMP.
Fantastic. If you feel good it’s always worth pushing the pace a little and thanks for the little tip about the velcro. I will be more prepared next year if I run this again.
