Staplehurst 10 Miler

LOAD: 600

10 Min WU @ Easy Pace (RPE: 2)

10 Miles @ 10 Mile Pace (RPE: 4-8)

10 Min CD @ Easy Pace (RPE: 3)

A quiet time of the year in terms of races so plenty of appeal for this race. Mainly flat around local country lanes with one pretty brutal climb at 10k, so be prepared for that. A cheeky walk break is excused at that point. But it does mean a nice downhill finish and should allow for a good time. CLICK HERE to view the route.

Excited to see what you can do here. Forecast looks good and the route is decent apart from one smelly hill. My trusty pace sheet is telling me just under 10:00 min/miles is the pace you want to be running. So start off at that speed and then once you hit the top of the hill pick up the pace if you have any energy left for the final 3 miles.

Happy with my run today. Got the time you wanted from me. My splits were all under 10, if you ignore that pesky hill at 7 miles! Average pace 9.46, which for me is reasonable. Stride length 0.92.

Fabulous running Sue. So pleased to hear you had a good run and managed to hit the target times. I think my pace sheet and target times probably didn’t account for the elevation, so that’s even better when you factor in the hill. Another excellent race results and a great way to end the year.
