Did the session solo early. Didn’t feel that I went as fast on the first rep as I would if running with everyone else. But did manage to up the pace on following reps and only gave myself 60 seconds recovery on final 2 min reps. Overall happy with that. Stats are for this session. Then did Walk2Run help in the evening. Combined groups 2 and 3 as no trained coach to take group 3, so easier tonight (did 8 x 4 mins, average pace about 11:00 mins/mile per Strava). I also correctly predicted that I wouldn’t be able to avoid finding out the result of the football.

Slightly tired legs tonight and Achilles/heel not brilliant. I’m wondering if it’s the lack of consistent running and S&C’s, alongside the hot weather and being a bit dehydrated? It didn’t help walking the fields of the festival at the weekend and spending hours a day on my feet watching the band’s which caused a lot of soreness and stiffness (almost had me walking flat footed when I got up each morning ☹️ Stats haven’t downloaded from watch to my app so not showing on Strava either. Ran to and from around 5 miles in total. What should I do on Sunday instead of Beel 15 (I don’t fancy the 5 miler as an alternative).

Early run with Rachel. Had to look after Merged Groups 2 & 3, I normally take Group 2 but there was no one to look after Group 3 (Pace was swift as you will note from my Average Pace) Group did 8 Minutes Run & 1 Minute Walk x 4, luckily I had support from Ben.

Done a bike and a swim tonight as I didn’t want to face the run. I feel like I should give it more time to sort itself out as it’s painful within the first step of trying to run. I’m trying to keep as active as I can without running to try not lose as much pace and fitness from not running
