We continue to make progress with out biggest week yet. Tuesday is a great session if you can make it. Tough but rewarding. Any problems let me know, but keep up the great work. If there is a race that catches your eye as well we are getting to the point where a 10k might be a good idea.

Find a location where you can pick different points on the hill. Lamp posts are great. So for example you would run to the first lamppost and back to the bottom of the hill. Then to the second lamppost and back. Keep making the reps longer until you hit 20 mins, and then start making the reps shorter again.

Focus on effort level rather than pace or heart rate as both will fluctuate depending if you are going up or down the hill

This session was better than I thought it would be!
I’m glad you enjoyed it. I sometimes worry if they are too tough, but it actually works quite well this one and I found as the reps got longer the time went pretty quickly. So much easier in a group and having that support. Thank you for your encouragement as well, it really helped me.

A really good home workout for the core and legs. If new to this, don’t worry about hitting the seconds or reps. Do what you can and slowly build up to the targets.

For example you might find you can only hold a plank for 20 seconds at first, which is fine. Don’t push too hard that you get injured. You’ll soon get strong and be able to add more seconds.

I did this on Saturday after the 45-min run (which was scheduled for Friday). I’m still not quite at the full reps on the workout but getting there
Fantastic work Susie. That’s ok about the reps, all the time you are making progress that is the main thing

The only real mistake you can make here is going too fast. Try and pick a flat route as well. Hills will push that RPE too high.

I did this on Saturday as I wasn’t too well on Friday.
Sorry to hear you were poorly but glad you still managed to get out there on Saturday. Great work Susie.

Try and keep it easy. It all depends on your current level. If slowly adding time to your long run the last 10-20 mins might be tough. Focus on good form.
