Another good week. Monday’s session at the track is a good one to focus on those lap times. And Saturday’s session, which you could combine with parkrun has been popular with other runners on the team. Any problems let me know. Merry Christmas Steve 🎄

Very happy with that. Felt like strongest session on track for a long time
Already seeing those improvements. Big step up from 2 weeks ago in terms of the pacing and awesome to see that little group you had. I miss that. Great session Steve.

19pts | 50 Mins & Strides

19 POINTS

It’s important to keep the easy runs easy. Focus on good running form and low heart rate. Don’t forget your strides. Very important. 30-60 seconds recovery between strides.

Pulled muscle in back earlier in day. Easy 50mins was fine but held off doing strides but intending to do Xmas parkrun so will include strides then
Oh yikes, hope you are ok? Sounds like it based on the fact you were able to still run and sensible to leave out the strides.

Relaxed parkrun and strides
Well done Steve, great beard by the way. We don’t need Sunday’s easy run now. So I’ve taken that out of the plan.

A good long run progressive session that could also be combined nicely with parkrun. Dig deep in that last 5k 💪

Struggled to get to 10k pace on the last 5k – so bit of work to do there
It can be really hard to move through the gears, especially in a big session like that and going from marathon pace to 10k pace is a big step up. I might look to refine that session a touch going forward. But as long as the effort was there, that’s the most important thing. Well done Steve.
