I’ve reigned it in a little bit again because of the foot. It’s hard to know what will cause the biggest issue. In theory if running faster your ground contact is lighter and lower, so you might find that actually helps doing a session like track. Perhaps avoid the hills for a week as well, just to be safe. I’ve cut the long run back to 90 mins. Keep rolling and icing and hopefully the foot will start to behave. At some stage some expect advice might be wise like a podiatrist, but see how things pan out. ๐Ÿคž

A good chance to work on your 5k pace. If you can hit the quicker end of zone 6, then perfect. Don’t go too fast though, especially in the early reps.

Thought Iโ€™d wait until the morning to leave feedback! Big improvement pain wise this morning after the rest ๐Ÿคž๐Ÿผ. Session felt good, probably had more in the tank but I didnโ€™t want to go overboard. Lap times were around 1.55 and then about 1.45 towards the end
So relieved. I saw your Strava description and was expecting the worst. You might find a session like this isn’t too bad. On the track. Only 40 mins of total running. Higher cadence = less ground contact. So it will be interesting to compare how it differs from the easy runs this week. If they cause you more discomfort then we can change things up to reduce the time on feet, but keep quality in there. It might just be we need to do that for 2-4 weeks to give the foot a chance to recover better. Well done on the session though Jodie, still a very good pace.

I’ve added in a few exercises so we cover all the fundamental movement patterns (push, pull, squat, lunge, rotate, hinge) and calf raises were the key running exercise that was missing.

Great session and a new deadlift set PB of 50kg for two / three sets ๐Ÿ’ช๐Ÿผ ๐ŸŠ
Oi, not fear, I got to 45kg this week, I’m impressed though, so great work. It’s nice to see those sort of improvements too. Not just about the running. Well done Jodie.

It’s important to keep the easy runs easy. Focus on good running form and low heart rate.

That felt great. Could feel niggles in my foot but nothing major.
So pleased to hear that ๐Ÿ˜ Well done Jodie

Keep this nice and easy. Focus on good form & efficient running economy. RPE should be around the 3/10 which means you can run and chat.

Yay!! Foot felt stiff when I woke up but I risked it anyway and it felt fine once I got moving.
This is really positive, if we are sensible then hopefully we can get through this foot problem without having to stop completely. Awesome work Jodie.
