Romney Marsh here we come. Team Orange are incoming. Because you did Bewl in means no track. So I’ve given you a Tuesday session you can smash out on the treaders. But every reason to think you have a chance Sunday of a cheeky PB. Any probs, let me know. Keep being awesome.

Wall Sits

Hopefully you can smash this out in 20 mins. If you pair some of the exercises together. So for example do the seated calf raises and then rather than sit around for 60s waited for the next set, do a plank and then switch back to the Bent Knee Calf Raises. This is referred to as supersets in the gym world.

Ankle little sore but manageable
Glad it’s ok and hope it holds up for the run tomorrow ๐Ÿคž You’re awesome, always remember that. There will always be people faster than us, but you know what, something I’ve learned, a lot of them are arrogant nobbers. If someone told me I could be much faster but the catch was I would also be a nobber. I think I’d say thanks, no thanks, I’m happy with my pace and who I am. There are also a lot of nice fast runners too, I should add ๐Ÿ˜‚

Don’t go off too fast as 20 reps is a lot. RPE towards the end of each rep should be a 9 and pace will be towards the lower end or just under your 3k targets. Consistency is the key.

Gave this session a bloody good go! Ankles a little achy but sucked it up and once got into it couldnโ€™t really feel it (probably because I was dying lol) ๐Ÿ˜‚ Dug deep because rep 20 seemed like it was never coming! ๐Ÿฅด โ€ฆ.. so much sweat! Thatโ€™s not a good look you know โ€ฆโ€ฆ. Put my big girl pants on and forgetting about Sunday ๐Ÿ™Œ๐Ÿผ๐Ÿ‘Š๐Ÿผ Really do appreciate you and your help with my battle in my own head ๐Ÿซถ๐Ÿผ thank you! And yes thereโ€™s lots of nobbers around ๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿ˜ We definitely are definitely not in that club!
Fantastic work Chrissie. I wouldn’t put any pressure on yourself Sunday. It’s going to be hot and windy, so tough conditions which will probably mean at least 2 minutes slower than if it was cool and calm. So you can know whatever time you do run Sunday, you’ll be capable of quicker in better conditions. I think going into it with the attitude “I’ll do my best” knowing it will be tough, is the best approach.

If you have an accurate heart rate, then use that as your main data to determine pace, if not RPE is the best option. Hills are always going to cause them to go too high, unless you are super fit. Finish off with some strides.

35 mins and strides this morning Planned to do W2R but my car decided it was going to get poorly ๐Ÿ˜”๐Ÿคฆ๐Ÿผโ€โ™€๏ธ 25 mins treadmill this evening
Oh no, sorry to hear about your car. Hope it gets better soon. Really well done though for getting the minutes and strides done today ๐Ÿ’ช Great job Chrissie

A good way to boost cardio whilst reducing the risk of injury. The elliptical can tone muscles and improve endurance whilst being gentle on your joints.

A great form of cross trainer for us runners. Find the level which means your heart rate is in zone 2. If you go other that, reduce the level. It’s that simple.

Did you try the Demelza link I shared? Charities will obviously have a lot more spaces this year. I was tempted, but want another year to build my strength before having another crack at a marathon. Well done on this session and an extra 10 mins on the stairs is big. Bonus pts incoming. Well done Chrissie

Control what you can. The warm up, strides, getting the early pace right and staying positive when it gets tough. You got this!!

Wow that was hot! Donโ€™t think I did to bad considering, would have like to have been a little quicker but the heat and wind was a lot so just going to take it as a winโ€ฆ. Happy to get a course pb Couldnโ€™t have tried any harder but know I gave it my best shot
Love this feedback. That’s what we talked about right? Do your best. Perhaps a little spicy with the pace in the first 3km, something to potentially look at going forward. But it was tough with the heat and the wind. At least 2 mins difference in my opinion. I was quite a bit slower than my target but like you, gave it my all, so happy with the outcome. Nice to see that improvement on last year as well. Great job Chrissie. Nice spending time with you and the team as well. Another strong week pushing your average pts up to 98. By the time we reach 100 you’ll be running even better.
