Probably totally pointless adding 7 days of rest but gives you the opportunity to still share your Wales adventures if you wanted. Always good to keep in touch.

Looking forward to getting back to the gym and The Bimblers. The next few months may be tough ones, but made easier by 🍊 and the Bimble gang!

Well done Su. The community is definitely what kept me going when running seemed like a stupid hobby.

In the torrential rain today there has not much chance to do anything but rest ( and spend money on Christmas!) Some very wet dog walks and a car trip to take mum for her flu jab! I thought about trying some Pilates and ran out of time 😆😆. Hope you’ve had a more productive day, and you continue to recover from injury, you are very good at listening to your body. 😊 PS don’t feel you have to answer these.
I enjoy the engagement. It’s interesting seeing what people get up to on their rest days. I discovered yesterday how weak my glutes really are by doing deadlifts and the booty builder in the gym yesterday. Feeling it today but onwards and upwards.

3 walks, 2 with Dad so a slow pace, one with Mike to the waterfalls, he actually stayed at my pace instead of his strides! More rain! I got up early at 7 as I couldn’t sleep, to be asked several times, where did you run!!!! I snoozed on the sofa 😆
😂 My dad always used to stride ahead of us on our family holidays leaving my mum with the kids trailing in his wake. It drove her mad. I’m a very slow walking, which equally drives Jax mad.

Can’t imagine you walking slowly 😆. Virtually zero exercise today! Busy on hospital escorts x2. Devon tomorrow and grandparent duties!
Very slowly!! I put it down to the fact I use so much effort running, that i’s nice to amble. Glad you got a decent rest day.

6hrs driving, but managed to get a short walk either end at dusk and dawn.
Yikes, that terrifies me, the thought of being in the car for that long, my glutes would be wrecked. Glad you got some fresh air too.

Well, we’ve had long walks, slow walks, short walks, wet walks and excessively windy walks. I’ve rested from running, but not been completely inactive. 2/7 days I didn’t complete my activity circle 😵. Looking forward to getting back to normality next week, nearly 3 weeks away is harder than you’d think! Hope all is well with you and the team.
Thanks for taking an almost rest week. I think sometimes it can help purely from a motivation point of view because it makes you keen to dive back into the training. It’s a strange time of year as a coach with very few races, you don’t get that constant reminder that the plans are working. Although Steve and Paul had race wins this week they were fairly routine. But overall the coaching is going great. So thank you for asking. I feel like I’m close to returning myself and now believe I’m doing the right things in the gym going forward. The fact I can only do 20kg on the Hip Thrust machine (know as the Booty Builder) in pure gym just highlights how weak I am in that area.
