A very exciting week with the Cyprus trip on the cards. I’ve tweaked it based on your Saturday message so hopefully it all looks ok now. I think when going away on holiday it’s just a case of doing the best you can with the time you have available. I hope you have a fantastic time.

Always a favourite with the team! Keep that first rep at 5k pace and then start to ramp up that speed. Enjoy!

Body combat wasn’t on here but I did it anyway because I always do it 🤣 Raml up was good. But might have over done it as hip was sore when I got home 🤣
I did leave it off to be honest as we are little over the target this week (added it in now) But with Body Combat and the rest we only hit 107% (110 is going to be the ceiling for the 100% club). But you could do a 45 rather than 60 min spin class and hit the target if you prefer. But great running tonight Lou and fabulous arms.

Always fun to train in a group. Ask for help if unsure on your technique on the exercises.

Yep all done.
Great work Lou!

A good way to add some extra cardio with the reduced impact and lower training load.

Getting up at silly o clock to go to spin was interesting but actually I had a super productive day
Extra kudos for getting up early. I would love to be an early riser but enjoy my sleep too much and one of the benefits of working for yourself is not having to set an alarm. Hope you’re having a great time in Larnaca.

Nice and easy. Smile, relax and enjoy. Love life!

I think we did 50 mins oops. Walked for bloody miles yesterday 🤣
That’s the only problem with going somewhere new for race week. The extra miles. I did a fairly good job of staying off my feet for Chester but I have definitely made this mistake many times before. Extra bonus points for the 50 mins, so all good. Well done Lou. Looks nice out there.

Control what you can. The warm up, strides, getting the early pace right and staying positive when it gets tough. You got this!!

57.34 official time! Whoops whooop! I did want to try sub an hour, my last 10k was Barry Richards and that’s when my niggle started. That’s why the carbon shoes went away. Speeds today! My time was 57.18 at Barry but the course was short so it’s not a pb 🤣 so it remains the Hastings seal front 10k last year! But if that race had of been cooler I probably would have gone faster maybe. Seems I still have my pace over the 10k so the question is can I hunt down that elusive half marathon on …
So pleased you. What a fantastic time. I think it highlights a few things. Less is more with the training as discussed in recent weeks, but also approaching a race with limited expectations can help. I’m going to focus on training goals rather than race goals. Train smarter and just see what happens. And I think that approach can work really well for you going forward. I hope the rest of your holiday was enjoyable and again, excellent running Lou. Onwards and upwards from here.
