Another really good week with a decent speed session and the Winter 5k to look forward. You could always bring Tuesday forward and do track Monday evening if you prefer. Any problems let me know, others keep being awesome.

Finishing this week on a high! Didn’t think a 5k pb was possible I’m really not a short distance runner because I worry I can’t go faster then what I’ve previously done.
I struggle so much with self belief so today has given me a glimpse of how I’m progressing.
Happy Chrissie 😁

A fantastic conclusion to another strong week. If there’s one thing I really want to work on it’s that self belief. You should have it in abundance given the way you make everyone else around you happier. Keep being yourself, keep working hard and listen to me when I tell you that you’re awesome.

Disappointed not to make track as was really up for it (hubby late home from work 🙄)
Sorry to hear that. Must be annoying not knowing whether you are going to be able to get out until the last minute.

Wasn’t sure if hubby would be late again so decided to give treadmill efforts a go! Timings may have been off slightly (doing more) but apart from being a sweaty mess felt good
Well done Chrissie. Sorry you couldn’t join us but you got it done which is great. I quite like the feeling of being a sweaty mess having just joined the gym and done so cross training. I’m not sure those in close proximity enjoy it as much though. Great work on another tough session.

Was raring and ready to go! A little out of my comfort zone going with the 4.5-5 mile group, Kept up just 🥴 lots of killer hills which I ran up most…. Legs tired at end! Attempted strides managed 2 couldn’t must energy in legs to get any more! Was a tough Wednesday run for me Got it done and bonus I didn’t die in the process lol 😂👍🏼🙌🏼💪🏼🍊
Not dying is always a bonus in my eyes. So that’s a good start. Good to make the step up but ideally we would like these to be easy, so something to consider when choosing the group next time. 2 strides is better than 0 right? We’ll smash some out before the winter 5k on Sunday.

Great work out …. Muscles bit stiff initially but eased up as I went on
Loving what you are doing with the gym stuff. Let me know if any of the exercises ever feel too comfortable and we can tweak the reps or weights. But keep smashing it out of the park Chrissie!!

Feeling ok! Nice walk to shops and back to keep my legs moving 👍🏼 although didn’t record on Strava 😁
Those people that record it on Strava when they put their bins out. Makes me livid. Luckily only runs appear on the PB Runner group so I can avoid all that nonsense 😂

Always a great race and seems to create a different atmosphere to parkrun despite being on the same route. Feels more like a race and I’m always amazed at the impressive times that are produced in these Hastings Runners races.

🙌🏼 I’m buzzing! I so didn’t think during the week when everyone was talking about last years time that I would be remotely near mine as I’ve never been able to run a whole 5k at that pace since. Have felt ready but self doubt was kicking in….. went out steady trying not to go to fast, maintaining pace and dug deep towards the end …. Felt Rachel slipping away but on last stretch when I knew I could push with out running out of steam went for it, came in a second behind so was made up PB that I didn’t think was possible 💪🏼🍊
Fantastic, so pleased for you. And it shows the hard work you have put in over the last few months has paid off. Hopefully that will help the confidence and quieten those self doubts as you’re doing so well with your running you should be very excited about what is possible over the next 6-12 months and beyond. Congratulations on your PB, so well deserved. Proud of you Chrissie and hopefully you are proud of yourself as well.
