Week Commencing: 1st June 26

Choose Day๐Ÿ‘‡

  • Friday
  • Saturday
  • Sunday

Some of us are doing the Weald Challenge (22km trail race) Sunday and heading for lunch afterwards if you fancy joining us. A good way of getting the long run banked. Just be wary if also doing the Alan Corke as well though as they are close together. It could also be smart to consider bringing the long run forward to Saturday, to give you 2 days rest before tackling those hills next week ๐Ÿค” Let me know, but keep up the great work Jo.

Today didn’t go to plan due to the weather and bag minding at walk 2 run. But got it done on Thursday.
No worries Jo. A little switcheroo is always ok. Bag watching duties sounds a bit of a naff job ๐Ÿ˜‚

Ok so this week hasn’t gone completely to plan. Put off efforts today by the wind, I did a good gym session and my 60 minutes run today. Efforts are scheduled for tomorrow
The week never has to go to plan. And I think this is where my pts approach works because you can get a good idea of where you are at in terms of the training done and what’s needed. It reduces the risk of over training too. Really well done on still getting a good day. Be careful with Sunday as well we don’t overdo it. Great work Jo

A real opportunity to work on both speed and good running economy. Train faster to race faster. I love this session.

All done. I have to say I am really enjoying having the time to be active. So many hours in the day now.
So pleased to hear but you’ve still got to make the most of it. How many retired people are going out smashing out 20 x 200 metre reps. Again I like these sessions for you (look at that pace) and I think it will really help with your running and posture. So more to come. Great work Jo. Keep making the most of that time.

This is the sort of distance where fuelling is now a priority. You’ll also start to get tired legs, but unless there is any specific pain, keep going, you’ll be amazed how far you can run on tired legs.

It was ok, I enjoyed it but was really struggled over the stiles in the last few miles. Nice day out though. Thanks for suggesting
Great work Jo!!! I hear you on the stiles. Especially towards the end. It was tough. But I think sometimes it’s everything that comes with the run and that was just a really nice day out. Hopefully that’s one we’ll remember compared to a normal Sunday long run. Bonus pts banked too making it your highest scoring week to date ๐Ÿ’ช
