Week Commencing: 29 June 26

Loads of good stuff this week. Speed work on the Monday. Cross training with the spin, a long run at the weekend to prepare for the Sevenoaks 7. And the strength and mobility work with the classes. If you need to move anything around just let me know but a great target of 100pts this week. A real chance to make some decent gains. Let’s smash this week Heidi.

Zone 2: Easy

Maintaining your current 5k pace will get progressively more challenging as a session unfolds. So breaking it down in this nature should allow you to maintain that pace for the whole session.

Efforts session. Kept with Jax for the 8 and the 2 x 4 at a pace of about 5.40/5.40 per km. Bit slower on the 2 mins I think.
Fabulous work Heidi. Great to have you along. Jax ran really well in that session so you did well to stick with her. It’s a good approach though, finding someone at a similar pace and sticking with them.

*reps/seconds on both sides

A really good home workout for the core and legs. If new to this, don’t worry about hitting the seconds or reps. Do what you can and slowly build up to the targets.

For example you might find you can only hold a plank for 20 seconds at first, which is fine. Don’t push too hard that you get injured. You’ll soon get strong and be able to add more seconds.

No worries Heidi. Try and squeeze the S&C in if you can as very important long term. But I appreciate it won’t always be possible

It’s important to keep the easy runs easy. Focus on good running form and low heart rate.

Pilates done 45 min run (I donโ€™t think I restarted the Strava app when I turned round) at about a 10.35 pace
Great work Heidi. An excellent day of training.

*Recoveries: 30 Seconds after the 30 second reps, 60 seconds after the 60 second reps. Simples.

Coach Simon๐ŸŠ “Make a note of RPM & the resistance level so you can increase them as you do more sessions.” Recoveries in between intervals are the same as the effort. So 30 and 60 seconds easy pace.

Try and keep it easy. It all depends on your current level. If slowly adding time to your long run the last 10-20 mins might be tough. Focus on good form.

Great work Heidi. Loving the extra 10 mins.
