Gym early golf at Copthorne. Course very dry, not in a good condition. All reps completed.
Excellent work Mark. I hate it when golf courses become bone dry. Not much fun, although tee shots can run and extra 50 yards which is a bonus. Hope you are having a nice time.

Find a location where you can pick different points on the hill. Lamp posts are great. So for example you would run to the first lamppost and back to the bottom of the hill. Then to the second lamppost and back. Keep making the reps longer until you hit 20 mins, and then start making the reps shorter again.

Focus on effort level rather than pace or heart rate as both will fluctuate depending if you are going up or down the hill

Brutal heat made this session very tough, felt strong going uphill until the heat kicked in. Pleased with my Effort. Max HR 151
Yeah it was definitely tough in the heat, but these sessions work so many aspects of our running, improving our form, mental toughness and even strength. So was really pleased how you executed this one. Great work Mark.

If you have accurate heart rate data that is far and away the best guide for this run. Stay in Zone 2 if you can.

Looking for suitable routes prior to lunch Golf at the Vale Resort.
Hope the golf went well, great work on finding time to do the run as well.

Running with others can reduce perceived effort so parkrun is a good option as an alternative speed session. 10 mins easy WU & CD please.

Surprised myself today, I did not think that I would be able to achieve this. Had nothing left when I finished. 5K time 30:19 2nd quickest this year after Heathfield.
Really well done for getting this done today Mark, and a fantastic time. Threatening that sub 30 again.
