Week Commencing: 13 July 26

Plenty of room to move things around this week if you want. Two easy runs (see how you feel Monday and move that if need be) and then the key sessions which is always a favourite. If you are free Saturday morning combining that with parkrun is always a good way of doing it. Then you can do the tough 5k as parkrun and have others around you to spur you on. Any changes needed, let me know. Always happy to tweak the schedule. Keep up the great work Heidi

The biggest mistake we can make with these recovery runs is running too fast. This will mean when our harder sessions come round we are still fatigued and not able to put enough effort in to make the necessary gains.

It has not been a good week exercise wise. A few nights out. Will reset for next week.
Every week is a new opportunity.

A good way to smash out some cardio in just 30 mins. You should find you get a good sweat on doing this session.

Not able to do this today
No worries. We go again next week.

Decent session with a mixture of Marathon pace and 10k. If you’re free Saturday mornings why not do the 10k section at your local parkrun. Running with others make it feel easier.

A really good home workout for the core and legs. If new to this, don’t worry about hitting the seconds or reps. Do what you can and slowly build up to the targets.

For example you might find you can only hold a plank for 20 seconds at first, which is fine. Don’t push too hard that you get injured. You’ll soon get strong and be able to add more seconds.

Ended up marshalling at park run. I think the week off has actually helped my knee as it felt much better today (Sun).
That’s positive about the knee and hopefully feel fresher to start next week.

Always fun to train in a group. Ask for help if unsure on your technique on the exercises.

5.8 mile run at 10.21 average.
Fantastic. Glad you were able to get out and finish the week strongly. Hope the knee felt ok.
