Took off too quick and started to feel it in the leg after 20 mins so eased back which really helped. Thought running with the wind would be beneficial but think it ended up making me push to hard too quickly. Turned round and ran into the wind and that resolved my leg issue as it was harder going so slowed down. Taking it as a learning curve with the leg. Otherwise all good and enjoyed running at a faster tempo. The new heart rate is good as well. 😊👍

I really enjoyed that!! I set myself little goal to try and run up all the hills – which I did. Yey. It was very challenging and windy. The last 700 or so meters was hell as I think I peaked too early but glad I keep pushing through 👊🏻 lovely first Hastings runners run and everyone was so nice 😊 Disclaimer: I didn’t do the strides and just did a 5 min cool down 🫣

Solo gym 😭 Got it done but I seem to have gone down a weight in the leg press since the 5 miler, maybe it’s where I’m tired 🤷‍♀️ 17.5kg bicep felt a bit easier today so I did 8 per rep. I also had to put the stair stepper up to level 7 for most of it as my usual level 6 didn’t get my heart rate above 130. I’m starting to struggle again with not sleeping even with a tablet which is a worry and I’m feeling fatigued most of the time 😭 xxx

6.35 miles. 9.30 avg pace. 1 hr 18 secs. Avg bpm 159. Pace per mile ranged from 9.22 to 9.45. Looking at the garmin stats, bpm was higher for the second half of the run hence the higher average.

Jeez. First 130m of this uphill pyramids course was 14% gradient. Overall ran 2.8km outward at average 10% gradient. Flattened out for 4th minute. Max heart rate 170bpm. Generally hit 165bpm. That was brutal. Not fun. But sure it was really beneficial.

Felt Sunday I my legs especially on thd first lap. 2 nd lap was faster . Not my best Alan Corke race 2 mi slower than 2 years ago. I did still feel strong . I am helping at W2R tomorrow not sure i can manage a full 60 min pre. What would you recommend so I dont lose to many points.
