Struggled, as always over cross country which I am not confident of running, and completed in a time of 1 hour 8 minutes and 13 seconds.
1 minute and 4 seconds slower than last year.
Did stretches before warm up by running down to the race.
Race itself was interesting. Funny time of day to do a race, but felt I ran it at a fast but controlled pace, reasonably strong and steady pace all the way through. Bit of stomach pain at 7km but got through it, may have been my running belt too tight or the time of day as hadn’t had my dinner! But on the whole pretty good. Felt a stronger effort – 1min slower than last year- but then again last year I thrashed myself around it and was totally maxed out.
Did Yoga at lunchtime – approx 40 mins.
Happy with my race. Only walked about 10-15 meters on the steep bit of the hill on the second and third laps. Hill after that was brutal into the wind, so definitely felt like an efforts session. Quicker than the last time I did it – 2 years ago, but slower than the previous 4 attempts. I still enjoyed it; well I did after I had finished!
Did 10 mins WU, but not a CD.
Ran along the shore from Hove to Brighton , it said the wind was 7 mph no way at least 15 it made my eyes water at times , all went well , you can tell when I ran into the wind as my pace dropped , my heart rate kept the same which is a good sign . No niggles

First 2k right groin felt like a nerve was pinching but sorted itself out. Tried to keep the heart rate down as much as possible and even walked at the end a little to drop it as I slowed the running down and it still stayed high. Overall felt really nice and nice to be back along the seafront.
(Any recommendations on stretches for the groin)
S&C’s this morning – All good.
A hard physical day lugging furniture around, carrying heavy boxes etc. Eventually stopped at 5.15 and put my feet up for awhile before my run but was absolutely knackered for it. Lots of aches and pains – particularly feet, Achilles and knees โน๏ธ
Correct decision not to race sadly packing and prepping for tomorrowโs interview had to come first. Really pleased with how this went decided to run it on heart rate as I wasnโt sure how I would feel after a stressful day and felt really easy to stay in the correct heart rate zone and this matched the pace for the zone as well. Rep 1 was a bit quick but felt very comfortable and didnโt seem to negatively affect the rest of the reps as these where all where we wanted them to be. Legs feel pretty fresh which bodes well going into the next 4 days
I did 30 min warm up pre W2R to loose my legs. Then 27min with W2R doing 3min run 1 min walk x4 4 min run 1 min walk x4 avg 12.39 pace overall. We also did some hill reps with the. Altogether did 60 min
Felt ok.
I completed this session today (Wednesday) as I know tomorrow is very busy and can do with tomorrow being free. Hopefully thatโs okay. However legs defo feeling it as much as I wanted my rest day today.
