Busy week cos Monday is the rest day. See how you get on. If you do need extra rest, then take it. Perhaps if you end up doing more on Wednesday that may help squeeze in an extra rest day. But we Sunday’s race to look forward to which should be a good one with so many of the team heading down to Romney Marsh. Any problems let me know. Keep smashing it Mark.

A good session to start off with your 5k pace and then pick up the speed as we move into the shorter reps. See if you can finish with your fastest lap in that final rep!!

Good session. Kept pace solid so I did not have any drop offs due to the heat.
Great work Mark, that is an excellent pace in those conditions.

Zone 2: Easy

If you have accurate heart rate data that is far and away the best guide for this run. Stay in Zone 2 if you can.

1. Early run prior to W2R with Sarah Denman, sweating buckets when we finished even though the pace was very easy. 2. Looking after Group 2 at W2R had to work to keep in front.
Well done Mark, a few points over target, so you have those banked for later in the week. Are you doing the Oliver Curd Friday? If not we could ditch 20 mins off that run. Or Sunday if it’s super hot don’t worry about a CD if you are really feeling the heat.

Started with Junior 1K Run Pace was very easy occasionally walking as the last child fell over just after the start and was crying all through the run, not sure why there mum did not stop 🤔, did not see the 1st aiders afterwards, anyway this my rant. The 5K/10K was interesting, very slow until we got past the 5K turnaround, then had to put the foot down to catch up the 10K runners – Speed getting into Zone 6/7 – RPE 8/9 – Mileage a bit more than 10K as we had to split a sweeps as someone started 20 minutes late.

Control what you can. The warm up, strides, getting the early pace right and staying positive when it gets tough. You got this!!

Romney Marsh 10K supported Chrissie to get round, started at the good pace, then the heat took effect.
