If anyone asks the Spring 5K was your idea 😂 On a serious note just be a little bit careful but I understand the desire to want to run this event. We do have a new super duper lady runner in the club (19:30 approx). Whether she rocks up Wednesday is yet to be seen, but otherwise no reason you cannot be competitive, especially in for the FV50 prize. As for Sunday, with it being a trail marathon it’s a case of just going out steady and letting the pace be dictated by the elevation. You’re ready and well prepared. If you want to chat about anything pre race I’m hear to talk. But you got this. Here’s to a great week.

I’m a big fan of consistent splits. With any race avoiding getting swept away with the crowds is key, so focus on that early pace and hold back, settle into a rhythm. Km 4 is often the hardest, so zone in on 4 and dig deep. You got this!

10 Mins WU @ Easy Pace (RPE: 3)
26.2 Miles @ Marathon Pace (RPE: 5)
We’ve made it. So exciting. The biggest mistake is going off too fast, know your pace and stick to it, even if it feels super easy. You’ve trained well, now just go and execute. Best of luck.
